Perinatal Mental Health
As well as attachment-based baby and toddler sleep education and consulting, I provide perinatal mental health and early parenting adjustment support to individuals and couples through pregnancy, birth, the transition to parenthood, and baby's first newborn year of life.
I support women, couples and families experiencing perinatal loss, including support around pregnancy decision making, fertility challenges and IVF, miscarriage, stillbirth, pregnancy termination, and the loss of a newborn baby.
My work with adults is specifically centred on perinatal mental health, the transition to parenthood, parenting, attachment, and the emotional and psychological impact of perinatal loss. I do not provide treatment for broader adult mental health concerns that fall outside these areas of specialisation.

Medicare
Non-Directive Pregnancy Support Counselling
Up to 3 x counselling sessions per pregnancy — available if you are pregnant or have been pregnant in the last 12 months. Services can be delivered in person or via telehealth (phone/ video). Requires a GP signed and dated referral letter (does not require a formal management plan).
You may consider a referral for this rebate if you're experiencing anxiety, low mood, or overwhelm during pregnancy and/or after the birth of your baby. You may require support in the transition to parenthood, including identity shifts, and relationship changes, and/or if you've experienced birth trauma, miscarriage, stillbirth, pregnancy termination or loss of a newborn baby, or you may require support regarding pregnancy decision making.
You can use this rebate for both perinatal mental health consultations and/or baby sleep consultations (relating to a pregnancy within the last 12 months), as parenting and health concerns including exhaustion and managing infant sleep relates directly to pregnancy.
Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)
Up to 10 x counselling sessions per calendar year. Your GP completes a Mental Health Care Plan and services can be delivered in person or via telehealth (phone/video). Book a long appointment with GP to obtain your mental health assessment and care plan referral.
You may consider a referral for this rebate for perinatal mental health consultations if you're experiencing symptoms which are still within the first year of baby's life but are more long standing and/or require longer term counselling support (up to 10 sessions per calendar year).
Fertility difficulties and IVF can be accessed under this rebate to treat fertility-related anxiety, stress, and/or grief.
You can not access the MHCP rebate for baby/toddler sleep consultations.
Note — you may receive higher rebates than the below if you have reached your annual Medicare Safety Net threshold.

Please note — you will be charged the full fee at the time of consultation. Medicare rebates are processed after the session and paid directly into your nominated Medicare registered bank account.
To receive a Medicare rebate, please email a copy of your GP referral and/or Mental Health Care Plan to hello@sweetlittledreams.co prior to your first consultation.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours or do not attend, the full consultation fee will be charged. Medicare rebates can not be claimed for cancellation or non-attendance.
